lamb-shThe latest Meat and Livestock Australia ad campaign makes out that it is fashionable to eat pieces of dismembered lambs.

Models on the catwalk display varies bits of the lamb corpses. The ad agency obviously thought it was witty to give these bits parodied fashion names like Valamtino.

MLA must be getting desperate because no matter how much they tell people that lamb is Australia's favourite meat, the fact is that consumption fell from 15kg per person in 1988/9 to 10kg in 2007/8 (ABARE).

Thankfully more and more people realise that slaughterhouses are brutal, ugly places, certainly not fashionable.

We certainly love our lambs in spring, but no, MLA, we don't love our lamb. Consumption of lambs will continue to fall, regardless of your advertising.
